Booking conditions

When submitting your Internet booking reservation, you automatically agree to the following conditions:

Bookings and Payments

Once you have send a booking request by e-mail or online booking, we will check availability and prices for the services required and send you the confirmation of your booking (=moment of booking) together with an invoice for the initial payment. In case we cannot send you a confirmation we will send an alternative quotation. Unless you question the arrangements, there will be an automatically binding contract between us seven days after we issue the confirmation invoice. If you are due to travel within 28 days, there will be an automatically binding contract on the day we issue the confirmation invoice.

An initial payment of 30% of the quotation is required at time of booking to secure a reservation. Reservations cannot be kept without an initial payment. Final payment of the remaining 70% is due 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival. If booked fewer than 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival, full payment is due upon booking. Payment needs to be made by international money transfer or by online creditcard payment. All bookings are subject to availability.

We do not take guaranteed deposits by credit card.

Cancellation

After the booking has been made, you can cancel your booking within 2 days without any costs. Note: all cancellations must be in writing. After 2 days from the moment of booking all cancellations will incur an administrative fee of €25 per person.  For cancellations received 45 days prior to departure, a complete refund (minus the administrative charge) will be provided. For cancellations received up to 30 days before departure a refund of 50% will be provided, up to 10 days before departure a refund of 25% will be provided. For cancellations received 10 days or less before departure, no refund will be given. For this reason, we highly recommend travel insurance. There will also be no refunds for unused portions of a tour or package. This includes accommodation, missed meals, golf rounds, excursions, language courses, clinics or sightseeing arrangements.

Insurance

We highly recommend that you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover trip cancellation or interruption; baggage loss, damage or delay; or illness. Please note that the policies of insurance companies may vary. Sicily Tourism will not be held responsible for baggage loss or damage.

Circumstances outside of our control

We do not have to pay compensation or accept any liability if our performance is affected by an event beyond our control, which our suppliers or we could not anticipate or avoid even by being very careful. We include the following as events beyond our control - war or threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, bad weather conditions, strikes, technical problems due to transport, airports or ports being closed or full, schedules being cancelled or changed by scheduled service airlines or any other similar event.

Golf Handicap Certificate

Though rules have relaxed in the past few years, a valid handicap certificate and/or letter of introduction stating your handicap might be necessary to play on some courses. Sicily Tourism will make you aware of course requirements before booking your tee-times. Sicily Tourism accepts no responsibility for clients refused golf due to non-compliance with any course's regulations.

Final documents

All package documents such as hotel and car rental vouchers, vouchers for green fee or sightseeing passes will be sent via e-mail three weeks prior to departure.

What is not included

Air transportation (unless specified in the package description), personal expenses such as telephone charges, room service, excess baggage fees, laundry, meals and beverages not specified in the package description. Airport departure taxes and transportation other than that specifically mentioned in the package description. Car upgrades, passport or visa costs, gratuities and any other items not specifically mentioned as being included in the cost of the package.

Rates and Fares

All rates and fares are quoted in Euros and will be confirmd in the booking confirmation. They include administrative and other associated costs relative to product preparation. All prices are per person, based on double occupancy (unless specified in the package description). Prices are subject to change at any time up until 30 days prior to departure. In the event of a major foreign currency increase, or other events beyond our control, rates may be revised and you will be informed in writing. Under those circumstances, you may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of your payments, if you do so no later than 30 days prior to departure.

Consent

The payment of the deposit or any partial or full payment for a reservation shall constitute consent to all provisions and conditions stated herein.

Responsibility

Sicily Tourism and its representatives act only as agents for the passenger in making arrangements for air, hotels, transportation, golf, sightseeing, or other services offered herein. The individual participant and/or purchaser, by acceptance of the program in the form of payment, agrees that Sicily Tourism and its agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense, to person or property due to an act or default of any hotel, carrier or other service provider included herein. The air tickets, vouchers, coupons, or contracts currently in use by any air carrier, hotel, or other service provider shall constitute the sole contract between the tour/ package participant and such contractor.

Sicily Tourism, its agents and suppliers accept no responsibility for any damage, delay or irregularity, expense or liability arising from: sickness, theft, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, weather conditions, natural or nuclear disasters , defect in any vehicle of transportation, nor any additional expenses or damages due to changes in advertised schedules or services, or any other cause beyond their control.

Sicily Tourism reserves the right to cancel, change or substitute any service, or to decline to accept or retain any tour member at any time or for any reason, including insufficient number of participants.

Holiday
Descriptions
We describe the programs we offer in various brochures and on the internet. We have the right to change any of these descriptions of services, facilities or prices at any time until we confirm your booking. If there is any change, we will tell you before the booking is confirmed.

Requests
If you have any special requests, please tell us when you book. We will ask the relevant supplier to make arrangements for your special request. You must, however, appreciate that there is no obligation to fulfil your special request and the relevant supplier may not do so.

Golf and Cottage

In the odd circumstance that the house we have booked for you is for whatever reason not available at the time of your booking we will contact you immediately by phone or e-mail and you will be given a reasonable alternative. In case the alternative house is cheaper, we will give you a refund. In case where the alternative house has a higher price you will be asked to pay the extra amount. You are not obliged to accept the alternative. In case you don't accept the alternative, a full refund will be given.

Excursions

Sicily Tourism and its representatives act only as agents for the passenger in making arrangements for excursions or other services offered herein. The individual participant and/or purchaser, by acceptance of the program in the form of payment, agrees that Sicily Tourism and its agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense, to person or property due to an act or default of any carrier or other service provider included herein.
